The complete booklet. The original lab data.
Nine pages of testing summaries, individual shot results and the original laboratory data sheets, together in one PDF.
The laboratory entered “None” in the penetration column for each of the 20 listed impacts. These results apply to the samples, ammunition and conditions documented in the supplied reports.
What does the deformation measurement show?
The lab sheets record deformation in millimeters using clay backing. Deformation is listed separately from penetration. Three deformation measurements appear on each sample’s sheet; the remaining cells are blank and shown here as “Not recorded.”
Does the 5.7 result apply to every 5.7 round?
The supplied 5.7 x 28mm result is specific to 40-grain SS197SR ammunition. The report does not document testing of every load in that caliber.
What testing procedures are listed?
The laboratory sheets list “NIJ-STD-0101.07 Level HG2 (Modified)” and “Customer Request.” The source package is labeled “Preliminary Data.” The original pages are included in the booklet for review.
Report scope. These reports document independent laboratory testing using NIJ-STD-0101.07 Level HG2 (Modified) procedures. NIJ certification is not established by these reports alone.
Source status: Preliminary Data. This webpage summarizes the supplied laboratory records; the original sheets are included in the testing booklet.
